The Challenge

The brief was clear and simple, to provide space for document finishing and storage of all the necessary consumable for the effective running of the important print room facility that the law firm provided. However, the new print room space was half the size of the previous room. So space efficiency and utilisation was paramount and would ultimately be the judge of the success of the project. When the Facilities Operations Manager was given the task of organising the Print Room move, she did not hesitate to call Envosort. The previous year Envosort had successfully completed the redesign and fit out of the Mailroom for the same law firm, and their professional approach then, gave her supreme confidence that they were the right company for the project.

Our Solution

One of the hallmarks of Envosort Project work has been the prompt and speedy response for clients. This project was no exception, Envosort quickly responded with an outline quote together with detailed plans, and then demonstrated their understanding of the needs and requirement of the client to have this project completed in a short time scale. With their reputation and consistent pricing Envosort were quickly awarded the project.

At the last minute prior to the installation day, the client had to change the specification of one of the main printers to be used, which impacted upon the size of the benches required. Envosort needed to modify the plans and changes to the actual products. But this is where their own facility of in-house manufacturing gives Envosort so much flexibility. The size changes to the benches were easily accommodated within the project process and managed in a smooth and professional way for the client.

Within the Print Room Envosort installed their Series 90 Heavy Duty Benching at 900mm high for standing operations, mainly consisting of cupboards with centre & bottom shelves for storage with lockable sliding doors to keep a clean & tidy appearance to the room. Hard waring high pressure laminate tops (HPL) were used with rounded edges on exposed corners for Health & Safety. Flexirail wall mounted two tier shelving was installed above all the benches to maximise space. In the other IT Build Room the same furniture was installed but at a lower working heights, together with Quartermaster Shelving for storage of large equipment.
